From August 8 to 10, the 2025 China (Ningbo) International Home Appliances Expo which supported by CCOIC Ningbo was held at the Ningbo International Conference & Exhibition Center. Over 460 Chinese home appliance companies gathered under one roof, showcasing more than 1,000 product categories and nearly 10,000 individual items. Together, they explored solutions to the challenges of the "crowded" market and ways to respond to shifting consumer demands. The number of exhibitors hit a record high, with Ningbo-based companies and those from other Chinese cities evenly matched at a 1:1 ratio—further extending the event's brand influence beyond the city.

据主办方统计,在三天的展会期间,共吸引超过21000名专业观众参与。值得一提的是,这场展会还吸引了来自20多国家的近三百名境外采购商来到现场,采购意向有望突破5000万美金。

According to the organizers, the three-day expo attracted more than 21,000 professional visitors. Notably, nearly 300 overseas buyers from over 20 countries attended, with intended purchase orders expected to exceed USD 50 million.

A group of buyers from Serbia visited Ningbo for the expo and showed great enthusiasm for electric kettles. At the event, they learned in detail about Ningbo's manufacturing strengths and praised its ability to balance high-quality products with competitive pricing. The buyers noted that Ningbo's well-established supply chain allows quick responses to market demands, which is crucial for their global expansion. They said that home appliances made in Ningbo not only have mature technology but also offer excellent cost-performance, giving them confidence in future purchases. This expo showcased China's manufacturing innovation and laid a solid foundation for further cooperation.

Another buyer from Iran, who has been living in China for years and is familiar with Chinese products, was particularly impressed by the steam irons and air fryers showcased at the expo. Although local brands in Iran have a loyal customer base, Chinese home appliances—with their competitive prices—continue to attract new customers. "There are a lot of options here. Many factories specialize in producing a single type of product, so you can see different technologies integrated into one," he said.

At the booth of a leading Ningbo-based water heater manufacturer, San, an Indian distributor, was carefully examining an electric instant water tap. Specializing in bathroom fittings and small appliances for South Asian and African markets, he paid close attention not only to product performance but also to the latest trends in components, craftsmanship, and materials.

This year, many exhibitors displayed product parts and internal details, which gave the buyer valuable insights for my purchasing decisions.

The expo was a two-way street—while overseas buyers came in strong numbers, Chinese companies were also actively venturing into new markets to meet global demand. Ningbo Zherong Technology Co., Ltd. showcased its latest electric stoves, with several models already exported to Central Asia and now making inroads into Europe and North America.

“有不少欧美国家的客户对电火灶感兴趣,但是像德国这样电费昂贵的国家,对产品能耗要求较高。”该公司总经理助理杨晓东介绍,为了减少客户的顾虑,公司目前正在研发热效率更高、耗电更低的产品,希望能走向更大的市场。

"Many customers in Europe and the US are interested in electric stoves," said Yang Xiaodong, Assistant General Manager of Zherong. "However, in countries like Germany, where electricity prices are high, energy efficiency is a major concern. We're developing products with higher heat efficiency and lower power consumption to better serve these markets and expand our reach."
