Guangzhou Development District Investment Group Co., Ltd. was established in January 1992 with total assets exceeding 70 billion yuan. It boasts a domestic credit rating of AAA from China Chengxin Credit Management Co. Ltd. and an international rating of BBB+ from Fitch Ratings and its compliance management system has been certified under both national and international standards. Positioned as a significant industrial-investment platform for the district, it focuses on four core businesses: Intelligent Manufacturing and Advanced Manufacturing, beauty Cosmetics and Healthcare, Significant Industrial Investment and Capital Operation, Sci-tech Park Investment and Operating Service. The Group is the controlling shareholder of Sunwill (002676), the global leade in low-pressure air-delivery systems for air conditioners and a frontrunner in automotive electronic-lock sets. It is also a major shareholder in Wanlian Securities, Bank of Guangzhou, and Dinghe Insurance.

The Group has invested in and empowered approximately 60 automotive-chain enterprises such as GAC AION, Didi Chuxing's autonomous driving division, and KH Automotive Technologies Co., Ltd.. 为深入贯彻落实习近平总书记关于发展新质生产力的重要指示精神，积极响应2025年国务院政府工作报告中“建立未来产业投入增长机制，培育生物制造、量子科技、具身智能、6G等未来产业”的战略部署，扎实推进省、市、区各级党委政府关于现代化产业体系建设的系列工作要求，在广州市黄埔区工业和信息化局的指导下，由广州开发区投资集团有限公司牵头，联合工业和信息化部电子第五研究所、广东省检验检测认证研究院集团有限公司等多家行业权威机构与企业，共同发起成立了“广州开发区 黄埔区具身智能机器人产业发展促进会”（以下简称“促进会”）。

促进会经民政部门核准登记，促进会为具有独立法人资格的非营利性社会团体，业务主管单位为广州市黄埔区工业和信息化局。本会以“标准引领、技术协同、生态共建、人才培育”为宗旨，致力于构建具身智能机器人领域产业链上下游协同创新的高水平平台，通过整合产业资源、凝聚科研力量，推动关键技术研发、标准体系构建、成果转化与应用拓展，打造具有国际竞争力的产业集群。

目前，促进会已吸纳约90家成员单位，涵盖具身智能机器人核心企业、产业链关键环节单位、科研机构、生态合作伙伴及专业投融资机构，初步形成集产学研用于一体的产业生态。同时，促进会着力打造“开投·智行产业空间”具身智能特色产业园，重点聚焦具身智能机器人和智能网联新能源汽车两大产业链群，为区域未来产业集聚与高质量发展提供有力支撑。

In order to thoroughly implement President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping’s guiding instructions on fostering new‐quality productive forces and respond to the 2025 State Council Government Work Report—which calls for “establishing growth mechanisms for future industries and cultivating embodied intelligence, biomanufacturing, quantum technology and 6G”—the Promotion Association was officially established under the guidance of Bureau of Industry and Information Technology of Huangpu District. The initiative was led by Guangzhou Development district Investment Group and jointly launched with authoritative institutions and enterprises such as the Fifth Electronics Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Guangdong Inspection, Testing and Certification Research Institute Group.

Registered as a non-profit social organization with independent legal-person status and supervised by Bureau of Industry and Information Technology of Huangpu District, the Association is guided by the principles of “standards leadership, technology collaboration, ecosystem co-building and talent cultivation.” It aims to build a high-level platform for upstream and downstream collaborative innovation in the industrial chain of embodied intelligent robot. By integrating industrial resources and gathering scientific research strengths, it advances critical technologies, standard-system development, achievement transformation and application expansion to create an internationally competitive industrial cluster.

At present, the Association has absorbed about 90 member units, covering core enterprises in embodied-intelligent robot industry, key supply-chain partners, research institutes, ecosystem allies and specialized investment-and-financing institutions, and has formed an industry ecology integrating academia, research and application. Concurrently, it strives to develop the “GDDIG Zhixing Industry Space” embodied-intelligence industrial park, focusing on the two major industrial chain clusters of embodied intelligent robot and intelligent network connected new energy vehicles, so as to provide robust support for future industrial agglomeration and high quality regional development.

The American Chamber of Commerce in South China (AmCham South China) is a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating bilateral trade between the United States and the People’s Republic of China. Accredited in 1995 by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C., AmCham South China represents more than 2,300 corporate and individual members, is governed by a fully-independent Board of Governors elected from its membership, and provides dynamic, on-the-ground support for American and International companies doing business in South China. Over the past ten years, AmCham South China has hosted on average each year more than 10,000 business executives and government leaders from around the world at its briefings, seminars, committee meetings and social gatherings. 

All American Chambers of Commerce within China operate independently and represent the member companies in their respective regions.
